Welcome to the September 2024 release notes, for V2.2.0 of our app! Amongst other things, our team has been working hard on a major overhaul of the ‘Tank monitoring with Wireless Sensor’ app - very exciting for those users that use wireless sensors for monitoring liquids and gases. Tank Monitoring with Wireless Sensor
Liquid / gas tank contents can be measured with a number of different sensors such as hydrostatic, ultrasonic or external pressure sensors. For more information on the different types of sensors and when to use which one, see this recent article by my colleague Derek Gancar where he outlines the differences between these sensors. As part of this app overhaul, we’ve improved the different alert levels available. You can now set high as well as low capacity alerts, usage alerts as well as refill alerts - as either capacity in % volume, volume in litres, or tank depth in metres. All different alert types can be configured to send as an app notification, text message, or e-mail - to just you or to your colleagues as well.
You can now also enter the Specific Gravity (SG) of the liquid you’re measuring, meaning that whether you’re measuring the contents of an IBC, water tank, or liquid fertiliser tank, your tank monitoring will be accurate in the INCYT app for every different type of liquid as it compensates for the specific gravity of your liquids.
Because INCYT tank monitoring with wireless sensor works through a combination of an INCYT tracker such as Polaris, Antares or Andromeda and a BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) pressure sensor, you also get satellite or cellular tracking capability for your mobile tanks of both location and fill levels. And the best part?
