Release Notes - October 2024
Welcome to the October 2024 release notes, for V2.2.2 of our app! This month our development team released a retrofit kit for soil moisture probes, an exciting release for those producers who already own soil moisture probes but wish to visualise the data on the INCYT platform. The team also made some serious upgrades to the tank monitoring app, allowing you to see your seasonal consumption as well as total volume of product across a fleet of tanks. Lastly we implemented a series of updates to the ‘map view’ of the INCYT dashboard. As always, if you have any questions about these release notes or ideas on what you think we should work on next, make sure to get in touch with our support team!
Soil Moisture Probe Retrofit Kit
We know how much producers love to see their soil moisture probe data in INCYT, but we’re also aware that many farming operations already own soil moisture probes and would prefer to keep using the equipment they’ve already paid for. Introducing: the soil moisture probe retrofit kit!
With the retrofit kit you’re able to convert existing moisture probes to the INCYT network, as long as they have a ‘SDI-12’ interface. An easy way to tell whether your probe has an SDI-12 interface is to see whether the probe and cord have 3 pins; if they do, they tend to have an SDI-12 interface. But it’s always best to speak to a member of our team about this so they can help you confirm your probe type and inform you on how to order your retrofit kits.
This is the first retrofit kit released by INCYT but rest assured it won’t be our last one. We know the pain of buying equipment only to then have to buy new equipment when you want to change to a different data platform… we’re working hard to change this concept wherever we can!
Tank monitoring
Many of our primary production clients have multiple tanks with the same contents such as water or liquid fertiliser for example, and some of our industrial clients can have over 500 tanks on their INCYT dashboard, all filled with the same liquid. In order to cater for all these clients, we have now added a ‘fleet overview’ to the tank monitoring app. This allows you to see exactly how much of a liquid you have left across a fleet of tanks and how much space you have left across all tanks.
The second update we’ve made to the tank monitoring app is a ‘seasonal consumption’ view. You can reset this seasonal consumption widget at the beginning of a season, year or other time period and it will keep track of how many litres of liquid are getting used throughout the season. Very useful for those businesses wishing to know how many litres of fuel, water, liquid fertiliser or any other liquid they’ve used - especially when a tank is constantly resupplied through standing orders with your supplier. Seasonal consumption is also available across a fleet of tanks, so you’ll even be able to tell exactly how much of a liquid you’ve used across your whole operation in a specific period of time.
Map View Enhancements
When you open the map page of the INCYT app V2.2.2, you’ll be surprised with a whole range of small but significant upgrades! From the way you open the menu panel on the right hand side of the screen to how you’re able to filter your applications and categories; everything has become more intuitive and easier to navigate. But, the best way to find out exactly what has changed - is to take a look for yourself!
